The Price Place — Indianapolis, Indiana

Indy-area overnight with suburban ease — The Price Place proves big cities can have gentle RV edges.

Indianapolis sprawls; The Price Place gave us a calm pocket near the city without the stress of urban camping mythology. August in Indiana hummed — cicadas, basketball dreams in the cultural ether, and a Host spot that felt residential in the honest sense.

We day-tripped toward monuments and canals, then retreated to the Basecamp before traffic temperament tests. Marla loves a city museum; Doug loves a city museum with a nearby place to sleep that isn’t a casino parking lot.

Evening was laundry, leftovers, and planning the next leg west. Sometimes the best Host nights are functional — and that’s praise.

Silver Trekker verdict: Indy staging spot. Use it to access the city, then flee back to aluminum peace.
