Rush Creek Distilling in Harvard, Illinois sits in that pleasant zone between Chicago sprawl and honest farmland. Our April arrival meant a tasting room warming up for weekend traffic and hosts happy to talk process with RV people who weren’t in a hurry.
We sampled, bought a bottle with a label worth displaying, and walked the Basecamp back across gravel that crunched like autumn even in spring. The distillery parking spot was level — Doug’s favorite love language.
