Navarino Orchard — Early September Return

Back to Navarino when the apples mean business — September harvest energy beats November quiet, different mood, same great Host.

We’d seen Navarino Orchard in late fall; September was another song on the same album — louder, juicier, busier. Pick-your-own energy, early cider steam, families doing the wholesome chaos thing while we pretended we weren’t also excited.

The Basecamp parked where we’d learned the drill. Same farm store temptation, same doughnut gravity, different light slanting through orchard rows like a calendar page turned.

We bought apples for eating, apples for pie, and opinions about which variety wins. Doug started a spreadsheet; Marla threatened to delete it. Compromise is marriage; apple season is diplomacy.

Silver Trekker verdict: Visit Navarino in more than one season if you can — the farm shows different faces and all of them feed you.
