Bozeman, Montana
Montana · Silver Trekker
Bozeman was their western bookend before pointing Silver Trekker toward home. They stayed at a municipal campground with mountain views and walked downtown for coffee roasted by people who take beans seriously.
Doug tried fly-fishing on the Gallatin with a guide who had the patience of a saint; Marla explored the Museum of the Rockies and texted dinosaur facts all afternoon. The farmers market supplied dinner: trout, cherries, and bread still warm.
Over beer at a taproom they met a couple who sold their house to full-time Airstream. Marla said “not yet”; Doug said “maybe.” They compromised on “more trips first.”
Silver Trekker verdict: Perfect mountain-town reset—good campgrounds, great food, and easy access to Glacier and Yellowstone loops.
