Glacier National Park, Montana
Montana · Silver Trekker
Glacier was the trip’s emotional peak—literally and figuratively. They camped at Fish Creek on the west side and studied Going-to-the-Sun Road restrictions for trailers like exam material.
Some sections were off-limits to their rig, so they unhitched and drove the pass in the tow vehicle—a white-knuckle, jaw-dropping, worth-every-minute decision. Logan Pass had snow in July and wildflowers in the same frame.
They kayaked Lake McDonald on a glass-calm morning, saw a moose at Many Glacier, and ate huckleberry ice cream daily because Montana rules are Montana rules.
Silver Trekker verdict: Mountain majesty with trailer limits—plan shuttle/unhitched days and savor every lake color.
